Final video in a three part series on Fibonacci numbers and being a plant. This video explains exceptions to the Fibonacci series, why you may find them, and how they work. There is a short discussion of plant hormones and growth, and this illustrates the unity of knowledge in math, physics, and biology (a learning objective in most CLSE courses). The comments and questions below the video on the site are useful for follow up and to generate class discussion (or quiz questions!). Note: The narrator speaks fast, and does not pause. Repeating and/or discussing the video between this and the next part may be necessary for some students. www.khanacademy.org.
